He is the managing director of the company. He holds a doctorate (PhD) in Economics specializing in Industrial Organization and Competition Policy. His doctorate thesis subject was «On the Optimal Design of Leniency Programmes in Competition Law». He is a holder of two Masters Degrees, one in Economics from University College London (UK) (with Distinction) and one from the King’s College London (UK) on the Economics of Competition Law. He is also a holder of a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (with Excellent).
He has worked as an economic consultant to the Cypriot Commission for the Protection of Competition for the period 2006-2009. From 2009 until 2013 he has been a research associate at the ESRC Centre for Competition Policy which is based at the University of East Anglia (UK).
He is one of the authors of the book titled «Competition Policy in Cyprus 1989-2009» published in 2011 by Nomiki Vivliothiki of Athens.
He has a broad range of experience, spanning more than twelve years. He has dealt with numerous cases, concerning anti-competitive agreements, information exchange, alleged exclusionary and exploitative abuses dominance, horizontal and vertival mergers, state aid, private litigation and regulatory liberalisation. He has has considerable experience in the application of quantitative techniques for antitrust purposes.
He has followed numerous international seminars in relation to the law and economics of competition and he has published widely on a variety of competition issues in local and foreign press (printed and electronic).
